Inside (Matilda the Musical)
Max’s own original contribution to a production of Matilda The Musical, performed by Bethany-Hannah Winteringham, Leeds Conservatoire, MA Company.
Max aimed to create a new song to fit the show’s narrative, and decided to focus on Matilda’s ordeal in The Chokey, and how she found inspiration in iconic literary prisoners from her books.
Section 82 (Losing the Plot)
A finale song Max contributed to Losing the Plot, an original queer comedy musical by Beki Maxfield.
A reference to the infamous anti-LGBT+ legislation Section 28, the song posits a dystopian world where prime minister Margaret Thatcher is an evil robot space empress.
